Billboard has released the top concert tours of 2013. Coming in at number one is Bon Jovi’s Because We Can tour. The Because We Can tour grossed $205,158,370 with 90 shows and 90 sellouts. Bon Jovi also saw 2,178,170 people, and rocked them all. I had the opportunity to see two shows on this tour, and they were simply amazing. Bon Jovi is one of the best live bands out there as we speak. It’s also amazing to note that they raked in all of these sellouts without having a founding, key member of the band, Richie Sambora, for most of the tour. Bon Jovi beat out the likes of Pink, fellow New Jersey native Bruce Springsteen, Justin Bieber, and Justin Timberlake for top grossing tour of the year and most sellouts as well. Bon Jovi has been around for 30 years, and putting up these types of numbers isn’t new to the band. This tour actually made less than their previous tour, The Circle tour, and had more stops than The Circle tour did as well. Bon Jovi has proved, time and time again, that a band with a positive and optimistic message blended with iconic and timeless ballads and songs, will indeed draw massive amounts of people, if you don’t believe me ask the band U2. Way to go Bon Jovi. Keep the Faith. #StayNerdy
