No surprise that Fifty Shades of Grey was the number one movie. This continues to show that releasing Romantic movies around Valentines, normally means better box office returns. Also, there was a lot of hype/controversy with this movie that helped put people in seats too. It didn’t do too well in North America, however, it made up a lot of its revenue overseas. I did see it, and it’s not a great movie. It would have been better to see a good movie claim the number one spot, but oh well.
